Apply for Job Here Title: Equity Analyst Location: Alabama-Birmingham Other Locations: Serve as a Portfolio Manager for assigned managed accounts. Participate with Regions Trust administrators and clients to develop investment objectives and goals. Implement investment policies, procedures and actions developed by the Investment Strategy Policy Committee (ISPC). May serve as a member of the IRC and participate in Regions Trust Regional Investment Review Committee. Initiate and monitor required action to effect security transactions. Cultivate new trust and investment management accounts and retain current relationships. Provide advice and guidance to clients and Regions trust personnel. Keep abreast of trends and developments in the securities market to ensure prudent investment management. Particpate in community, charitable and service organizations. Specific Details: * Equity Research Analyst (ERA) covering one or two of the ten Sectors of the S&P 500 (Financial Services, Health Care, Information Technology, Energy, Materials, Industrials, Utilities, Consumer Staples, Consumer Discretionary, Telecommunications) * Perform research for specific companies that will include an assessment of their financial condition, growth prospects, quarterly earnings, and valuation considerations. * Reports to Regions Investment Management and Portfolio Managers about significant news events that impact the stock performance of the companies under coverage Participate in stock selection and portfolio management in areas of Large Cap Core, Equity Income and High Dividend Yield. * Participate in stock selection for Large Cap Value, Large Cap Growth and Mid Cap Growth * Present on general market conditions that may impact the stock performance of the Sectors under coverage, includes an analysis of yield curve conditions, economic growth patterns, regulatory environments, and demographic trends. * Rate the attractiveness of investing in the Sector, Sub Industries, and specific companies under coverage. * On day 1, this position will require a basicfamiliarity with accounting, economics, and corporate finance. 7 years of related work experience in investment / portfolio management, brokerage, finance, etc.. Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Economics, Finance, Business, Math, Statistics, Accounting. Well-developed verbal and written communication, portfolio management, analytical, organizational and presentation skills. Good knowledge of third party models (Salomon, Bloomberg, Lipper). Skilled in applicable computer software programs. Requires CFA designation or achievement of CFA if candidate meets all other qualifications. Demonstrated ability in accounting. Apply for Job Here
