Basic Overview: The individual will manage, develop and attract client relationships.

The incumbent will act as an extension of the sales and marketing team The individual will be expected to and compensated for growing the asset base by attracting new (institutional /advisory) customers.  My client is seeking a production minded professional with analytical skills.  He/she shall have expertise in global economics, financial markets and primarily fixed income.  Equity experience and basic FX understanding is crucial.  Client coverage will also require reading research daily, transmitting rationale for investments in writing and orally, serving as liaison between the clients and the portfolio management and research team. Related tasks may include the revision of a prospectus for a new product, the creation of presentations, investment proposals and the analysis of a derivative or a new financial structure, creation and coordination of client/prospect events, etc. Travelling may be required.
Possible backgrounds that would work are:
Financial advisor / broker (or brokers investment associate) / banker / senior associate / consultant / institutional sales / trader / PM / business or sales manager at a financial firm / etc.

A solid understanding of the financial markets (mostly bonds) and economics
Passion for client service and the will to sell
Minimum 5 year experience in similar/related positions
Fluent Spanish and English, written and oral
Bloomberg, Excel, PowerPoint
Important skills:
Sales skills and drive/mindset
Public speaking and presentation skills
The ability and willingness to personally interact with (and entertain) clients.
Portuguese (highly preferred)
Entrepreneurial spirit
