Junior Trader Intern

The Position:
Our firm is looking for a select group of Interns in our mid-town New York office. This is an unpaid internship, with no expense reimbursement. You will be provided with a computer station and will assist our Partners, Team Leaders, and Traders to develop faster and more robust…
1. Analytical and Research Tools,
2. Execution platforms using FIX connections
3. Alerts using DDE Links and Excel Spreadsheets
4. And general assistance to our traders

Specific Requirements
• Must be available to work at least two days a week and a minimum of 8 hours total per week in the New York office
• Must have computer science background

The Future:
A select few Interns will be considered for the full-time position of Junior Equity Trader after 6 months, and be offered a place in a training program. Our extensive training program will consist initially of risk management but will quickly advance into technical analysis, hedging techniques, tape reading, and position management. We will have very high expectations and will expect our new traders to hit the ground running.

Intern and Junior Trader Requirements:
• Unyielding ability to be a fast thinker and quick learner
• Strong interest in the US Equity markets
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• High degree of maturity and professionalism
• Self-starting approach, high level of energy and enthusiasm about working in an entrepreneurial environment with significant growth potential
• High degree of creativity and ability to "think outside the box"
• Outstanding attention to detail
