Responsibilities : Will work with the existing US-based Traders, as well as the global biodiesel and middle distillate teams, to profitably trade and develop Shell's biodiesel position in the region, in addition to supporting group companies to meet their renewable fuel mandates in an efficient manner. Negotiate and execute profitable spot and longer-term trades involving Biodiesel, tolling arrangements and feedstocks (Vegoils/UCO/Tallow etc). Gather and share valuable market and competitive intelligence across product groups and locations. Contribute to the North American and Global Biodiesel business development plans. Develop and forge close relationships with both suppliers and customers. Some travel, mostly within North America, will be expected. Acquire a clear understanding of Shell Oil Products and MOTIVA requirements and contribute to their future strategy for meeting their obligations, in addition to managing their immediate requirements as the single market interface for biodiesel in the US. Identify opportunities and formulate trading strategies based on your own forward supply/demand analysis and experience. Work across both the middle distillate team, and with the Ethanol team to capture value through cross product optimization. Work with the global biodiesel team to ensure first mover advantage on arbitrage movements Work with associated freighting, operations and contracts groups to secure the most cost effective trading services and back office support. Calculate and execute strategies to hedge or otherwise manage the risks arising from trading positions. Responsible for entering, updating and monitoring all transactions in the appropriate deal entry systems and ensure that they accurately reflect the business exposures and profitability. Requirements : Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer. Bachelor's degree. Minimum seven (7) years of professional experience in a Trading environment. Minimum five (5) years of experience in Vegetable Oil and/or Biodiesel Trading preferred. Highly numerate with proven analytical capabilities. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to enable good team interaction, in addition to developing and maintaining positive relationships both externally and internally. Proven ability to perform under time pressure in fast moving markets. Self-starter and eager to develop new business. Demonstrated track record with bottom line profitability.
