Citigroup's Houston-based group CEI (Citigroup Energy Inc.) is seeking to hire a Northeast Electricity trader. Areas of focus will include the following:Responsibilities include:
-Trader will be responsible for trading the OTC PJM Zonal market locations such as PSEG, JCPL, BGE, PEPCO, East, DPL etc.-Trader will be responsible for participating in congestion auctions in PJM, NYSIO, and MISO etc.-Trader expected to maintain annual P/L of about $10MM trading P/L trading front 24 months.-Trader will be responsible for market-making and execution related to marketers trying to close customer flow orders and structured deals and long term originated deals that may have an asset pricing component involved.-Trader will be expected to identify fundamental congestion strategies that will be part of the respective region.-As part of a growing business, trader also will be expected to identify growth areas in their particular region in the form of new instruments or products to be traded
Requirements-
Degree
in business or equivalent.-At least 5 years experience trading
northeast power pools like PJM, NYISO, NEPOOL ,MISO and participating in
congestion auctions.-Track record of consistent $5-10MM in annual
P/L.-Experience making markets for customer flow business-Ability to
define, execute, and manage trading strategies-Experience working with
power flow models like Powerworld, Dayzer etc would be a plus.-Must be
able to effectively work within a trading desk environment as part of
the team with other traders and originators.-Excellent communication
skills-Strong organizational skills
