Organizational Objective/Purpose:
As Product Marketing, you be the
client advocate for Charles Schwab's Active Investor Trading
application. Product Marketing is responsible for client research
including identifying the application's target demographic and
developing product personas that can be used to understand user needs.
You will be responsible for gathering and prioritizing product and
customer business requirements, defining the product roadmap, managing
release scope, writing user stories, overseeing and analyzing
competitive research and working closely with Business Analysts and
Engineering to deliver winning products to ensure revenue and customer
satisfaction goals are met.
You must possess a unique blend of
business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to
make that vision a reality knowing when to make trade offs based on your
understanding of client needs. You must enjoy spending time in the
market to understand problems, and find innovative solutions.
You
must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work
with a business analyst counterpart to define product release
requirements. You will own communication with internal stakeholders
including Sales, Service, and Marketing to help them understand the
product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also
serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering,
working with the sales and service channels and key customers.
Brief Description of Role:
Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to release implementation.
Specifying
market requirements for current and future product releases by
conducting market research supported by on-going visits with customers.
Driving product goals and setting of priorities through market requirements, product roadmap, and user stories.
Communicating important key milestones serving as communications focal point with Sales, Service and Marketing.
Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
Technical/Functional Qualifications:
4+ years of software marketing/product management experience.
Demonstrated success defining and launching successful products
Experience in a job in the Financial Services industry a strong plus
Knowledgeable in technology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
