Brief Description of Role:

The Business Analyst will analyze, interpret, and transform business requirements into project specifications or presentations used to support project validation and completion. Acting as a liaison between the various business team interests and the optionsXpress development team, the Analyst will manage 3-5 medium to large projects and various small projects on a quarterly basis. The Analyst will maintain and provide graphical and tabular (spreadsheet) reports across the optionsXpress development spectrum while proactively initiating, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external team members to achieve results. The Analyst will also develop medium to long-term development plans based on recommendations and input from optionsXpress, Inc. Senior Management.

Skills and  Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager with a track record of delivering well-documented requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Solid understanding of Rational Unified Process Methodology.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint tools along with a general familiarity with Visio.
  • Prior experience communicating with various internal and external business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Basic to mid-level experience using SQL a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
