Trader or Trade Processing Associate

Mariner Wealth Advisors, one of the top independent investment advisors in the country, is seeking qualified candidates for a Trader or Trade Processing Associate position in the Leawood, Kansas office.  The primary responsibility of the Trader or Trade Processing Associate is to receive and place trade request orders that include mutual funds, ETF’s, equities and options.  The Trader or Trade Processing Associate will take incoming trade request instructions from Wealth Advisors.  Orders must be placed in a timely manner and trade requests must be completed with minimal delay.  The Trader or Trade Processing Associate will report to the Operations Manager.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success delivering results in the following areas:    

  • Process trades with a high level of accuracy while mitigating risk
  • Build solid relationships with Wealth Advisors and custodian banks
  • Manage and prioritize multiple time sensitive tasks
  • Comprehensive understanding of trading life cycle
 Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business major preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, time-management, and organization skills
  • Sound decision-making abilities
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, and phone skills
  • Experience with Orion trading and/or Advent MOXY, a plus
  • 2+ years trading experience
