Brief Description of Role:

The High Net Worth Broker provides investment services, technical support and assistance to Schwab's High Net Worth who are long term investors and Active Investor retail clients. High Net Worth clients at Schwab are defined as having assets greater than 1 MM. The High Net Worth Broker is part of a dedicated team that provides complex problem resolution and partners with Schwab's Financial Consultants within the Schwab Branch Network as needed. Their responsibilities include delivering extraordinary and consistent service experience and strengthening client relationships. The team provides guidance, education and solutions that will aid clients in achieving Schwab's purpose of "helping everyone be financially fit."

The High Net Worth Brokers are highly knowledgeable about the markets. They have working knowledge and experience in margins, options strategies, technical and fundamental analysis and the ability to review time and sales. In addition, they identify and consult wealth management needs & solutions, consolidate assets and provide trading guidance.

Team Environment:

High Net Worth Brokers work in a fast-paced environment with a structured schedule, on small, highly collaborative teams of 10-15 professionals with a supportive manager who is focused on development and coaching. Representatives on this team have strong communication and listening skills, demonstrate a passion for service and the financial markets, empathetic to client needs, detail oriented, self motivated, enthusiastic and embrace Schwab's Purpose and Values.

Representatives are paid a salary (rather than the pressure of commissions), and receive additional compensation for overtime hours, along with the ability to earn an annual bonus based on high performance, adherence to quality standards and profitable company growth.

Technical/Functional Qualifications:
  • Active NASD Series 7 & 63 licenses required
  • Two years or more of Financial Services industry experience
  • Experience working with high net worth or active trader clients
  • Passion for service and finance with strong client-focus and the ability to strengthen relationships
  • Ability to deliver technical and fundamental analysis, trading strategies and economic reports in client conversations
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to deliver service that results in high client satisfaction and increased client loyalty
  • Advanced technical skills, with the ability to utilize at least 8 different applications at one time, including Windows, internet researching, database systems, and email
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment , assess business risks at point of contact and experience in placing large trades
  • Ability to work in a structured schedule, taking approximately 30-50 inbound calls including 5-15 outbound client calls per day
  • Collaborative and relational work style with proven success in a team environment
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
  • Ability to retain and execute upon complex information with relative ease

Position Location:

This role is located in the Schwab office at 9401 E. Panorama Circle in Englewood, CO. This office is in the Denver Tech Center, at I-25 and Dry Creek, near the RTD Light Rail line and Park Meadows Mall.
