RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source, develop and manage domestic and international supplier relationships to ensure uninterrupted crude oil supply and related products
  • Source reliable oil commodity / crude oil products vendors and suppliers globally while negotiating the best possible prices.
  • Contribute new ideas to reduce costs and improve quality and delivery
  • Facilitate new source development, qualification, and implementation, by proactively interacting with Clients, Refining, Transportation, etc.
  • Develop risk management strategies to support crude supply activities.
  • Identify and lead new business development initiatives in line with agreed company strategy, to maximize commercial exposure in global segment.
  • Assist in the development of the Crude Oil and Refined Oil Products trading business, and increasing revenues and profitability.
  • Initiate crude oil trades to support monthly crude supply strategy.
  • Manage the contract administration and crude scheduling supporting crude logistics.
  • Gather information and conduct investigation and implementation of opportunities for third party processing, storage, and blending
  • Develop competitive market intelligence
  • Maintain crude oil and related products sourcing database .
  • Prepare and present monthly forecasts and purchase price variance analysis
    REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree, MS, MBA preferable
  • 7+ years of Crude Oil industry experience including commodity trading, refining, procurement, demand planning, and supply chain
  • Global commodity sourcing expertise with knowledge of demand / supply, and excellent negotiating skills
  • Knowlege of crude oil market, crude oil by-products, and sourcing alternatives
  • Familiarity with other crude oil derivitives, such as, condensates, natural gasolines, NGLS is a plus
  • Prior interaction with trading teams, with ability to source, manage, and close the deal.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
  • Excellent Project Management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, paying close attention to detail
  • Displays sound business judgement and strong personal integrity.
  • A multi-tasker with proven time management abilties, and a capacity to work in a time pressure environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to build partnerships and work cross functionally
  • Strong communication skills and decision making abilities
  • International / global experience a plus
    Bilingual or Multilingual abilities in Spanish / Portuguese always a plus
