Organization Objective/Purpose: Active Investor Sales Consultants work with prospects and clients to broaden and grow the Schwab's Active Investor client base. AI Consultants focus on driving new business by handling inbound marketing calls, outbound calling on web leads, following up on referrals from branch and service center partners, and making proactive outbound calls on Marketing lists. Consultants actively follow up with clients through the entire sales process, winning new business and then helping the client leverage Schwab's trading tools and services. AI Consultants will also actively manage relationships with internal partners, providing subject matter expertise and support.

Brief Description of Role:

Solid knowledge of Active Trader products, platforms, and the broader spectrum of offers are an essential ingredient for success. Excellent sales skills are a must. Candidates must be able to have engaged trading related conversations with clients/prospects, provide value oriented solutions, and follow through on behalf of the client. They also must be able to recognize the broader needs of traders and partner with local branch staff to gain a trader's whole financial services relationship.

Interested parties must be self-motivated, adaptable to quick changes from inbound to outbound focus, and have the ability to build relationships across various Schwab groups. Candidates must be goal oriented and will be accountable for exceptional productivity and delivering outstanding personal sales results. The Active Investor Sales Consultant compensation plan includes a base salary and the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on individual sales performance, as measured by revenue generated to the firm.


The qualifications for this position include:

A minimum of 3 years experience within financial services
A minimum of two years sales experience
Series 7 & 63 licenses are required
Self motivated with good organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong sales aptitude with proven productivity track record and history of success
Ability to negotiate with high value clients
A solid understanding of Active Investor client needs
Good Knowledge of technical analysis, advanced trading strategies, active trader products/services/software, and the equity/option markets
Familiarity of the Active Trader competitive landscape
