Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, uses skills obtained through training to assist portfolio managers by monitoring and adjusting clients' accounts. Follows detailed instructions and established procedures to perform routine tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other routine work requiring limited decision making responsibility. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers new or unusual issues to a higher level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
# Takes in new accounts, daily cash additions/withdrawals and cancels for all retail accounts.
# Assists in the creation and/or completion of retail and institutional orders on the allocation or program trade level.
# Updates trading models, performance meters and other position/execution reports.
# Enters transactions and any client restrictions into computer system.
# Assists with the review of accounts to ensure they meet the portfolio manager's specifications.
# Creates spreadsheets and other required reports.
# Recommends transactions to adjust client accounts when necessary.
# Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
# Fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of customer service.
# Fundamental investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.

Skill in:
# High level customer service.
# Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
# Proper telephone etiquette - clear, concise and accurate.
# Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.
# Problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
# Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, databases and spreadsheets.

Ability to:
# Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing with internal and external clients and customers.
# Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, and external parties.
# Work under pressure on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
# Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.
# Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.
# Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
# Organize, prioritize, and manage tasks and projects to complete work efficiently.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
# High School diploma or equivalent.
