An opportunity currently exists within our Trading department for a Trader – Equity – Managed Accounts.

POSITION TITLE: TRADER – EQUITY – MANAGED ACCOUNTS
DEPARTMENT: TRADING
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree; business related major (finance/accounting) preferred:
- 1 to 3 years trading experience or trading support experience required;
- Knowledge of domestic equity securities trading and settlement issues required;
- Familiarity with Check-Free APL and sponsor systems, i.e., SB MATES, SB PM Trade, MS Access, Morgan Stanley PPA, PRU Calculator, GIMII preferred;
- Strong quantitative, math, accounting and excel skills required;
- PC proficient
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Coordinate, generate, transmit and execute all Federated Private Investment balancing systems and trade orders
- Generate, execute and allocate block trade orders with various sponsor trade desks as authorized by the senior trader or portfolio manager
- Process new accounts, deposits, tax sale requests, and the liquidation of assets for withdrawals and terminations
- Provide portfolio manager or senior trader and with information about the market that would impact the volume or price volatility of the issues traded in portfolios
- Interact and maintain good working relationships with various security dealers
- Communicate effectively with the back-office partner to keep accounts in line with investment objectives
- Monitor integrity of each product on the various portfolio trading systems supported by sponsors
- Assist portfolio manager by analyzing information to aid in providing tax implication analysis
- Compile information for monitoring of execution for all sponsors to insure best execution
- Work with sponsors and broker/dealers to resolve trade errors and problems
- Work with sponsors and broker/dealers on trade settlement and allocation issues
