Telvent DTN is seeking a highly skilled Sales Representative to join our redistribution sales team. This individual will be responsible for selling low latency data feeds and other content solutions to brokerages, hedge funds, algorithmic trading organizations, websites and other prospects.

This role offers a great opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial individual who has a financial services background and an ambition to further develop their business acumen through sales. This individual must be self-starting, proactive, have strong established customer networks and focused on selling high quality data and services targeted at new customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Enthusiasm for trading and the technology traders need to make highly profitable decisions.
* Strong network of contacts in the industry, primarily in New York.
* Prior experience selling mission critical data solutions to the financial industry
* Ability to identify, communicate and understand the needs of traders, brokers, hedge funds and other industry participants and guide the user into the products that best suit their needs
* An understanding of various API, database and web technologies employed by organizations using low latency market data feeds.
* Self motivated with excellent relationship-building skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, follow-up, presentation, and account management skills will be necessary in order to achieve sales success in this position.
* Ability to manage day-to-day activities with minimal supervision
* Ability to multi-task in various Microsoft Windows and Web Based applications
