New York G10 Risk Treasury - Macro Desk

Business Overview

* The Risk Treasury is part of the G10 Rates, RT and Finance business within Global Markets, ICG.
* The business runs and manages liquidity, significant interest rate and FX risk in various currencies on the ICG bank balance sheets in the main global financial centers
* The Macro desk, within the New York Risk Treasury, manages the New York ICG Bank balance sheet, acting as the transfer pricing portal for internal businesses who hand off liquidity and interest rate risk to the desk.
* The mandate of the desk is utilize these flows and leverage further off the balance sheet to enhance earnings through interest rate positioning and collateral management. Risk is managed through multi-products including money market deposits and placements, IR Swaps, OIS, Exchange traded futures, fx swaps, basis swaps, AFS and MTM asset portfolio amongst others.
* The group also manages the bank's reserve requirements in the US and is the ultimately responsible for settling the bank with the Federal Reserve and as such is actively involved in the current FED exit strategies.

Role and Responsibilities

* To be a key and active team member within the macro desk with an ability to strategise, formulate and execute on risk position trades.
* Active management of long and short term tactical risk positioning - within rates and spread products.
* Cross 'accounting type' management of risks and products.
* Participate and drive the management of the discretionary, high quality collateral portfolio
* Utilise balance sheet analysis to create P&L attribution for the desk, and in term formulate forward looking business revenue analysis with the aim to maximizing and enhancing these returns through balance sheet optimization.
* Formulate longer term liquidity and balance sheet strategies with focus on return on capital with particular focus on upcoming regulatory changes (Basel II and III etc)

* Immersion into expansive products including Money Markets, including Time Deposits, Repos, Swaps, Rate Futures/Options, cash bonds (Treasuries, TIPS, Sovereigns) and Basis Swaps
