Organization Objective/Purpose:

Core Client Experience, within Schwab Investor Services [IS], is
responsible for setting the retail strategy amongst Schwab's <$250K
clients and overseeing its execution. As the name suggests, a key
tenet of the group's mission is to evaluate the business through
client eyes and ensure we are growing the business in a way that is
in the best interest of our clients. The Core Client Experience
group works closely with partners in marketing, research, product
management, client-facing groups (e.g. branches, call centers) and
web services to ensure a holistic strategy and to successfully
execute initiatives.

Brief Description of Role:
Core clients are Schwab's largest client group and in many ways the
heart & soul of Schwab. They are also a client group of tremendous
business opportunity, today and in the future. As such, engaging and
growing high potential Core clients is a top priority in 2010. This
role will be responsible leading and executing initiatives to grow
our high potential Core clients.

Specifically, this includes:
# Crafting, advocating for and executing the strategy for growing our
high potential Core Clients

# Leading cross-functional projects focused on strengthening and
transforming the client facing teams that serve Core Clients

# Identifying opportunities to grow our business with this client
group � executing critical analyses, lobbying for and overseeing
relevant client research, developing convincing arguments for the
pursuit of opportunities uncovered, etc.

# Developing, testing and launching growth initiatives, working
closely with partners across the firm

# Acting as the IS expert on our high potential Core Clients and
providing expert insight and vision regarding this group within the
Client Experience organization and across the firm

# The person in this role should be an astute leader and a
self-starter; someone with strong analytical skills coupled with an
orientation towards action and results. Specifically this person
should have:
Dual strategy and execution skills: A successful candidate will be
strong at both developing analytically-based strategies and driving
the successful execution of those strategies to achieve clear
business goals

# Strong leadership capabilities: As this role involves leading
projects with executive level working teams and driving change in a
consensus-driven organization, this person will need a high level of
maturity, confidence and presentation presence as well as the ability
to judiciously guide group thought

# Creativity and innovation: Given the responsibilities of the role,
this person will need to be an innovative thinker and a creative
problem solver, with a drive to uncover new solutions to on-going
business challenges

# Grounded tenacity: A successful candidate will be skilled at
executing multiple projects simultaneously, excel at working with a
diversity of business partners and have a determination to do what is
needed to get things done

Technical/Functional Qualifications:

# BA required, MBA desired, 5+ years of relevant work experience
required. Experience in retail financial services/wealth management
preferred; strategy consulting experience a plus.

Candidate should have:

# Demonstrated leadership abilities
# Demonstrated project management skills
# Robust experience with analysis and strategy formation
# Outstanding �soft-skills�
