Syndicate Trader, Relationship Management

This position will focus primarily on increasing revenue derived from new issue products sold throughout E*TRADE distribution channels. This individual will support product sales to Financial Advisors/ Desk associates and also support the Relationship Managers with communications and their other needs related to sales initiatives. The position also supports the IPO platform, in order to manage online sales of new issues. Success in this role is measured by achieving product sales targets and meeting deliverables on project timelines.

The responsibilities will include:

- Maintain new issue calendar to ensure that E*TRADE is effectively targeting syndicate opportunities in fixed income and equity markets
- Communicate with the broker sales force around new issue campaign timelines and milestones; provide broker sales force with product information and documentation
- Own bookrunning responsibilities for all approved issues, maintaining blotters on and off of BondDesk
- Act as primary contact for all external distributors in our structured product, UIT and preferred offerings
- Coordinate compliance approvals for sales materials and legal approvals where necessary
- Partner with Back Office to confirm that syndicate trades are booked and settled properly
- Research and resolve trade breaks and other settlement issues
- Review new issue trades for proper pricing and description details
- Research Financial Advisor inquiries and deliver superior service to the broker sales force
- Own responsibility for the inventory accounts to ensure that they’re flat on a monthly basis
- Comply with prospects delivery requirements for new issues
- Assist with documentation and reporting within individual deal files
- Oversee the project management aspects of the online new issue center redesign
- Maintain monthly reports to update E*TRADE product placement by issuer and by product including salient product features
- Provide support to the Distribution Specialists who are wholesaling at locations around the country
- Answer Relationship Manager inquiries as they relate to sales and product initiatives
- Assist with the communication approval process for the Relationship Management organization
- Prepare communications or sales tools to support the Relationship Managers sales initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications:

- The applicant must have three years experience in a financial sales environment; knowledge of syndicate products is preferred.
- This individual must possess extraordinary organizational and time management skills, and have a strong attention to detail. As shifting priorities must be attended to, this role requires someone who is reliable, results-driven, and works well within a rapidly changing business environment. The individual must be a self-starter who works effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, who seizes opportunities, and follows them through to completion. Outstanding oral and written communication and management skills are required to represent the Investment Specialist Group inside and outside of the company.
- This position requires a minimum BA. This individual should also have a familiarity with general compliance guidelines within the brokerage and banking industries.
