Capital Asset Exchange & Trading, LLC, which owns the online marketplace, CAE Online, is a leading global platform for buying and selling secondary capital assets primarily in the semiconductor industry, as well as in the solar, defense, life science, communications technology, and related technology intensive industries. Additionally, CAET purchases and sells such assets. In all, CAET is an information driven trading platform for illiquid capital equipment assets.

CAET seeks to rapidly scale its team and platform, by adding intelligent, self-starting, and accomplished professionals who would like to be the part of building a significant firm and winning in its market. CAET grew well in excess of 100% in calendar year 2008, and over 250% in the first quarter of 2009. This growth came through adding and training new professionals, winning market share, providing new levels of professionalism and responsibility to the industry, while leveraging CAET’s reach and informational advantages. CAET is privately held, debt free, and profitable.

CAET is a high growth company and is looking for intelligent, skilled professionals to join its Menlo Park-based trading team. CAET is seeking to add approximately 3 to 5 new professionals per month during calendar year 2009 and welcomes talented, capable applicants. The most successful candidates and employees will have the opportunity to grow with the firm and enter a management program, which will include the opportunity to lead a team of traders as a Director; additional advancement is available to superb professionals.

Your major responsibilities will be to create and manage transactions to closure:
• Sourcing and serving potential buyers looking to purchase secondary semiconductor capital equipment
• Sourcing and serving potential sellers looking to sell secondary semiconductor capital equipment
• Matching buyer requirements and seller items for sale
• Negotiating price and terms with both buyers and sellers
• Setting and managing client interactions, equipment inspections
• Completing transaction closing items (working with logistics providers, the Finance Department, and ensuring customer satisfaction)
• While traders are based in Menlo Park, their transactions are global and an ability to work with foreign buyers and sellers is important
Requirements Qualifications Required:
• Forensic attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Bachelor degree from an accredited institution; U.S. News and World Report Top 100 school is preferable
• Minimum GPA: 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Top quartile standardized test scores
• Debate or negotiation skills
• Historical success in a client facing role, especially in sales
• Team player willing to coach and be coached by colleagues. Open to development and improvement (i.e., aware of weaknesses and focused on constant improvement)
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• MBA, CFA, CPA or similar degree or certification a plus
