The Fixed Income Trading group

within CSIM is responsible for serving clients and managing their
Fixed Income product needs --Corporate, Bank, Government and Tax-free
bond instruments. Our traders work closing with the Fixed Income
sales and services teams within our retail business (Investor
Services) and our institutional teams (Advisor Services).

# Trade and maintain a designated Fixed Income portfolio
# Monitor daily inventory, providing updated pricing and
# Negotiate trades and act as a liaison with outside industry
partners and vendors
# Maintain a continuous focus on risk management efforts and
expected protocols
# Monitor MSRB and TRACE reporting requirements
# Interact collaboratively with institutional (Schwab Advisory
Services) and retail (Investor Services) sales and service
# Monitor external ATS offerings for appropriate credit quality
and customer suitability
# Work on Bid Wanteds via QWS
# Work on orders in trader review status
# Executing, cancelling, changing, outing orders, and notifying
all parties
# Watch aged items and shorts
# Check out with dealers
# Handle all trade problems/settlement breaks, call contra
parties, liaison with operations
# Leverage proprietary and standard tools and databases
(Bloomberg) for information and decision-making requirements


# Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics
# Minimum of three 3 years' trading experience preferably
within a collaborative and team-oriented trading environment
comprised of all fixed income products
# Service oriented with excellent verbal and written
communication skills
# Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and
manage daily workload with strong conflict management,
analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
# Must be flexible, detail-oriented and able to work in a
fast-paced team environment
# Demonstrated prior experience in a customer service or
business development role
# Strong PC skills that includes experience with Microsoft
office (including Excel, Word, and Power Point) and industry
standard trading resources and tools (Bloomberg, Reuter's
Blackrock etc.)
# Series 7 & 63 required. Series 24 & management experience
# General knowledge of securities transfer and SEC regulations
