We are currently recruiting for a Senior Energy Trader for our office in Denver, CO. This position develops and executes trading strategies to reduce market risk and capture value through those strategies. This position also interacts with various sales representatives and market participants to develop, negotiate, and execute plans for business opportunities that create value for the company. You will be responsible for analyzing and reacting to market, competitive, and other business conditions which have an impact on the portfolio, as well as interact with other desks that include retail origination. This position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating energy transactions to ensure that all relevant aspects including energy price, transmission, counter party, and other contractual terms are favorable to, and consistent with, company guidelines for risk management. Lastly, this position reports to the Director of Asset Trading-West Region.


Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent education/experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. The successful candidate must have specific knowledge of the electric energy markets, more specifically 2+ years of trading experience in MISO.
