The Position

We are currently looking for a Securities Analyst to join our Fixed Income Research team. As a Securities Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting fundamental investment analysis leading to investment recommendations in the firm’s fixed income portfolio.

We take a bottom-up, credit intensive approach to investing. In order to be successful within this role, you must demonstrate an analytical mind and the ability to work in a fast-paced and intellectually-demanding environment. In addition, you should have the ability to contribute to the department’s overall culture and direction.

Key responsibilities include:
•Conducting in-depth fundamental corporate research in one or more industries and identifying attractive investment opportunities
•Building and maintaining detailed financial models for use in the investment decision process
•Monitoring existing positions through earnings calls, management discussions, and other industry contacts
•Interacting with other members of the investment team including Portfolio Managers and Traders to help facilitate an effective investment decision making process.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Those who have completed or are pursuing CFA designation or an MBA are highly desired. In addition to the required education, you should have 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

Computer skills should include proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Bloomberg is a definite plus.
