Brief Description of Role:
The Sr. Specialist will have dividend and tax reporting experience. In this role, they will be responsible for the daily reconciliation of income payments from DTCC and JPMorgan/Chase.
Responsibilities include:
- Proper credit to customer accounts to ensure that the income is properly recorded for tax reporting purposes.
- Payments of foreign securities which involves foreign withholding taxes and making sure that the taxes withheld are done at the correct tax treaty rate
- Working closely with the tax team to process any year end income reallocations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum 3 to 5 years brokerage operations experience with good working knowledge of dividends, corporate actions, tax reporting and account reconciliation.
- Experience with DTCC
- Dividend and tax reporting experience is ideal
- College degree preferred, but not required.
- Experience working with various SunGard products: Phase3, Wall Street Concepts and WealthStation is a plus.

Merchandising Assistant
General Summary
The Merchandising Assistant provides administrative and customer support to the Trader and may occasionally assist others. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the entire purchases and sales contract processes from entry to final settlement. The individual in this position maintains a computer database of information should have a general knowledge of accounting procedures, is responsible for accurately inputting trades, generating reports, troubleshooting to resolve issues, and providing customer service to buyers and sellers.
- Assist Trader with documenting daily trading of commodities, data entry into computer to record quantity, cost, delivery and billing information. Provide futures reconciliation and verification of trader’s daily and monthly positions.
- Receive and get billing on all units provide proper information and documentation on rail jacket. Keep merchant advised. Enter all proper expenses and apply to correct lading, keeping the customers credit terms in mind.
- Generate sales invoices and settlement checks on a daily basis. Review and assist in the collection of accounts receivable as needed.
- Provide logistical support for commodity shipments by rail, truck or barge. May include supplying and billing of equipment, tracing rail cars, troubleshooting delivery issues, and payment of freight.
- Provide assistance to customers in resolving commodity, freight, accounting, and other issues. Make sure proper discounts and dockage are taken, also check for liens of farmers and deduct check off.
- Utilize computer programs to maintain purchases, sales, futures, transportation, freight variance and daily position reports. Assemble proper documents and send with a collection letter to the customer to maximize cash flow.
Individual works at computer terminal and telephone approximately 80% of the day.

• Minimum GPA: 3.3
• Registration licenses required (e.g., Series 7, 63 securities licenses required or to be obtained within 90 days of employment)

• Outstanding attention to detail, highly organized, and extremely proactive
• Must be a service oriented, team-player eager to assist colleagues and members of the department at all levels
• Self-motivated, innovative, hard working individual, who can handle changing priorities and multiple tasks in a timely fashion
• Technology friendly with the ability to understand and enhance existing systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Diligent and meticulous individual with the ability to “think outside the box”
• Must be service oriented and a team player with the ability to work outside ones comfort zone
• Strong time management/prioritization skills and solid judgment
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg, and familiarity with the ratings agencies

Responsible for trading energy commodities, options, heat rates, and energy products in various markets. Tenor of trade ranges from intraday through 5 years, depending on assigned book. High level of competency in trading strategies, physical market knowledge, regulatory market design, and competitive marketplace profile required. Must be able to bring a track record of profitable trading while abiding by and managing positions within V@R. P&L variance, and stop loss limits commensurate with the authorized position size. Ability and desire to perform individual research, deal entry management, and monthly reconciliation required. Position may require making markets for asset optimization groups that are responsible for hedging company's nationwide generation portfolio. Knowledge of multiple trading transaction systems helpful. Willingness and desire to train less experienced traders expected. Must be a disciplined trader, highly organized, and a team player willing to work with individuals across all parts of a diversified regulated/competitive energy corporation. Incentive compensation is completely based on individual's success of profitably managing a proprietary trading book.

RequirementsBachelors Degree in Business or Technical field. Post graduate education a plus.
