Marketing Program Manager, Brokerage Marketing

The Marketing Program Manager works on the Brokerage Marketing team supporting direct response acquisition and engagement marketing campaigns, reporting to Senior Marketing Manager, Brokerage Marketing. Key channels include direct marketing (email/direct mail), web site (etrade.com), and online 3rd-party (display/search/social media). Key products include advanced trading platforms, Options, Futures, and Forex.


The ideal candidate is an energetic, organized project manager who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment. The primary goal for the position is new customer acquisition and profitable revenue growth leveraging the active trader value proposition that consists of our best pricing, our most advanced tools and dedicated service from knowledgeable professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Management of external agency and internal creative resources in the development of creative and communication materials/campaigns that effectively meet campaign objectives, budget requirements and deadlines. This includes:
    • Prospect acquisition campaigns and offer development
    • Customer migration and re-activation
    • Ex-customer win-back On-going collaboration with Marketing, Product Management and other internal stakeholders
  • Ongoing collaboration with Marketing, Product Management and other internal stakeholders to efficiently/effectively execute programs according to the agreed upon strategy and business objectives
  • Campaign reporting and analysis, research and tracking of key performance metrics
  • Competitive Analysis (Competitive Positioning, Analyses, Rankings, Marketing & Sales Evaluations)
  • Budget management and tracking to ensure marketing expenses are aligned with quarterly budget forecasts
Requirements

Prior Experience (Type of Eperience)
  • 2 – 4 years marketing experience following a degree ideally in marketing or business disciplines
  • Prior advertising or marketing services agency experience
AND/OR
  • Prior financial services category experience (Client/Marketing or Agency)


Skills/Knowledge
  • Solid project management skills that include campaign development/planning, evaluation of briefing documents, supervision of creative development and production in addition to campaign reporting/analysis.

  • Proven success  in sales, sales management, and overall leadership (previous project management and or business analysis experience a plus)

  The Commodities Derivatives Group is seeking to hire an energy derivatives trader support the development of Citigroup's growing energy commodities business (electricity, natural gas, crude oil and refined products).  Given the plans for rapid expansion of this business, responsibilities will be broad and frequently changing.  Areas of focus will include the following:
  • Traders will be responsible for market-making and execution for the following: marketers trying to close customer flow orders, internal traders who need to hedge anything from regional price exposure to cross commodity strategies, and structured deals and long term originated deals that may have an asset pricing component involved.
  • Traders will be expected to identify fundamental strategies that will be part of their region's portfolio. They will also elaborate to others the risks of their particular market and how it can affect other regions.
  • As part of a growing business, traders also will be expected to identify growth areas in their particular region in the form of new instruments or products to be traded, adding specialized personnel to take advantage of certain opportunities as they present themselves, and adding customers to increase liquidity and pricing capabilities.
Requirements

Necessary skills and experience include the following:
  • Experience executing derivative products
  • Knowledge of the pricing of forward curves in futures markets
  • Options/Exotics pricing experience
  • Location/Gas Daily Option experience
  • Experience making markets for customer flow business
  • Track record of profitability
  • Ability to define, execute, and manage trading strategies
  • Must be able to effectively work within a trading desk environment as part of the team with other originators and traders
  • Self starter, curious mind, team player, good communicator

Real-time Power Trader, Houston, TX

A key Optimus client is seeking qualified candidates to join the organization’s real-time power trading team to focus on MISO, PJM and ERCOT trading.  This role is responsible for the strategy development and execution around power in the real-time markets as well as for pricing, executing and managing the changes in power needs associated with the asset portfolio or customer requirements.   The client is ideally looking for an up and coming professional with some analytical experience and/or experience in a rotation program where the candidate is looking to make their next professional step.

Some key points of responsibility will be:
  • Evaluating and developing strategies based on regional plant generation, generation cost, and transmission constraints
  • Optimizing the existing portfolio in the hourly and day-ahead market
  • Developing additional proprietary trade strategies to add additional value to the overall desk portfolio value
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships in the region
  • The Real-Time Trader is a 12-hour rotating shift
 Requirements


A qualified candidate for this role should have at least the following characteristics:
  • Experience in the Power Trading industry in an analytical discipline or rotation program
  • The ability to develop and evaluate strategy in both a fundamental and quantitative perspective
  • Strong attention to detail and work discipline with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Areas of focus will include the following:Responsibilities:-Trader will be responsible for trading Midwest electricity trading locations in MISO and PJM such as Indiana hub, AD hub, NI hub etc.-Trader expected to maintain annual P/L of about $10MM trading P/L trading front 24 months.-Trader will be expected to identify fundamental congestion strategies that will be part of the respective region.-As part of a growing business, trader also will be expected to identify growth areas in their particular region in the form of new instruments or products to be traded.-Trader expected to keep abreast of all relevant market moving information such as regulatory and environmental legislations that may impact the forward price of power.

 RequirementsNecessary skills and experience include the following:-Degree in business or related-At least 5 years experience trading northeast power pools like PJM, MISO, SOCO etc.-Track record of consistent $5-10MM in annual P/L.-Experience making markets for customer flow business-Ability to define, execute, and manage trading strategies-Experience working with power flow models like Power world, Dayzer etc would be a plus.-Must be able to effectively work within a trading desk environment as part of the team with other traders and originators.-Excellent communication skills-Strong organizational skills
